About USAGunForms

We're not a law firm, a government agency, or a gun shop. We're a small independent site that built one simple tool: a state-specific bill of sale generator for private firearm transfers.

Why This Site Exists

Finding clear, no-nonsense guidance on private gun sales is surprisingly hard. Most search results are either generic legal boilerplate, outdated forum posts from three years ago, or sites trying to sell you something you didn't ask for.

The bigger problem is that every state plays by different rules. What's perfectly legal in Texas — cash for gun, no paperwork required — is a serious felony in New Jersey. A seller in Arizona who didn't know their buyer had an out-of-state ID just committed a federal crime. These aren't edge cases. They happen constantly, and a signed bill of sale is often the only thing that proves you did your part.

Nobody had put all of this in one place, in plain English, organized by state. So we did.

What We Actually Do

Each form on this site references the exact statute that governs private firearm transfers in that state — not a generic template with the state name swapped in. We track legislative changes across all 50 states and update the forms when laws change. When you fill out the form, the PDF is generated locally in your browser. We don't see your serial numbers, your ID, or anything else you type in.

The free preview gives you a watermarked version to check the format. The $4.99 clean version is what you print, sign, and keep on file. That's the whole business model — no subscriptions, no upsells, no account required.
